Kirkmichael to Lair is a 5 mile walk, taking you over rough terrain, through livestock and there is little or no visible path. The complete walk is suited only for experienced walkers. Please wear waterproof boots as it is boggy in places. One meadow has been churned up by the cattle making the walking difficult underfoot. There are waymarker posts along the way but these have been knocked by the cattle so please don't rely on them being accurate. Further along the trail there are sheep roaming. There are old rickety stiles to cross so please take care.
This first cache takes you up the start of the track (nettles) and then follows the field boundary around to a small stand of Larch trees where you will find this cache, once past here the navigation requires a map.
Park at the carpark in Kirkmichael where you will also find a wee shop incorporating a small cafe and toilets. They will make up fresh rolls for your journey.
This cache is one of many hidden for the Mega 2010 Perth. A series of caches to be hidden right in the heart of Perthshire Big Tree Country.
