Geocache Description:

This is a small spice camo cache with a log book. Own pencil/pen is required.

This is part 4 of a series of 34 caches at metropolitan SA hockey clubs. Over time, we have planned to place a cache at every major, minor and former hockey clubs in Greater Adelaide. Most major and minor clubs have divisions for all ages and have information at the clubs for those interested in playing or getting the junior geocachers started.

This cache is located at the home of Hockey SA, The Distinctive Homes Hockey Stadium, originally The Pines Stadium.

The stadium was opened in the 1970's and was one of the most technology advanced stadiums at the time. Hockey SA made it their home in the 80's and i has been home to both Adelaide based teams in the Australian Hockey League, the men's Southern Hotshots since 1991 and the women's Southern Suns since 1993.

The stadim has also been home to South Australian Gridiron Association games since 1997.

The 2004 pitch was replaced in the summer of 2009-10, with a FIH approved water-based playing surface.
