Wilson is located in the Coastal Plain region of North Carolina and is the state’s 17th largest city. It is also the county seat of Wilson County, North Carolina.
For many years, the city was referred to as Wide Awake Wilson and a “crowing rooster” was often used to signify being “wide awake.”
This cache is one in a series of caches that have been placed along the roads that lead into the city of Wilson, North Carolina. The containers are placed in the vicinity of signs that indicate you are entering Wilson County, but may or may not be touching the signs.
I would not recommend searching for caches in this series in large groups or with small children, because they are along heavily traveled roads and there may be LIMITED parking in close proximity to ground zero.
