A easy walk mostly on paths suitable for bikes, pushchairs and walkers.
This Cache is dedicated to our family dog Highway. She love walking through this area sometimes alone after escaping the fence!
The best place to park is at N51 07.136 W00 52.494 but don’t block the gate as this road is regularly used by military vehicles.
Follow paths past the old parade square to the left towards the open field. Sometimes you will see model aircraft in this area and hot air balloons often take off and land in the area too. This is a lovely walk in all seasons, lots of rabbits and squirrels and a perfect place to walk your dogs as long as they are not too distracted by all the rabbits. This is also a great place for children to learn to ride bikes, scooter and use rollerblades as the old parade square is flat and apart from the odd army vehicle it is very quiet.
The cache is a small sandwich type container. When placed it contained a picture of highway and a short message, a Help for Heroes wrist band, pencil, note pad, large shell (from the Gulf of mexico), toy cat sitting on a beach and several small origami figures.
The Cache also contains our first trackable, a colourful Help for Heroes metal piece. This is dedicated to Highway and we hope the first finder will help to start its journey.
The nearest cache is Privates on Parade GC1CJ2F (our very first cache and the one to get us hooked too) and is well worth a vist.
