Den som är intresserad av äldre tiders järnframställning i Sverige finner här resterna av en stångjärnssmedja som var i bruk fram till 1889.
Den som är intresserad av att meta, grilla korv eller bara sitta och njuta av miljön finner här en naturskön plats som iordningsställts av Degerfors Fälttjänst.
Vägbeskrivning
Titta inte på Googles vägbeskrivning. De kommer att leda dig till fel sida av älven, i alla fall om du siktar på cachen. Navigera till parkeringskoordinaten istället så går det bättre.
Från Degerfors: Kör förbi Sveafallen och fortsätt grusvägen i ungefär 6 km. Sväng höger när du ser en träskylt som pekar mot ”Håkanbols Bruk”. Fortsätt ca 500 meter sväng sedan vänster. Parkera vid vändplatsen och knalla genom skogen ungefär 300 meter.
What is this place?
Anyone who is interested in old times iron making in Sweden will find the remains of a tilt hammer used for making bar iron. This was in use until 1889.
Anyone who is interested in fishing, cooking hotdogs over a campfire or just enjoying the environment will find a scenic location that has been prepared by Degerfors Field Service
Driving directions
Do not bother looking at the driving directions by Google. If you don’t got a boat, that is. You will end up on the wrong side of the river if you aim for the cache. If you navigate to the parking coordinate, google will work fine.
From Degerfors: drive past Sveafallen and continue on that gravelroad for about 6 km. Turn right when you see a wooden sign that says “Håkanbols Bruk”. Go for about 500 meter then turn left. Park were the road ends and walk through the forest for about 300 meter.
