After much
disruption to my geocaching schedule due to TT week and road
closures, I've finally managed to put in place another loop!
Literally next door to my SW Baldwin Loop, park up at around N 54°
10.768' W 004° 30.429' (the small lay-by infront of Union Mills
Football Club).
From here,
head towards Onchan, but then take the East Baldwin road off to
your left. Wander past a large green coniferous hedge on your
right, until you descend into a dark, wooded area.
GPS will be
totally un-effective here - co-ordinates are merely a guide.
Instead, follow these directions; there will be a footpath sign and
two brown sort of fence/gates to your left - take the path along
here, and the cache will be immediately to your left, about twenty
metres after leaving the road. So as to minimise damage to this
woodland, the cache is but one metre from the path. Also, for my
'mystery cache loop', you will need to take down the common
house-hold brand on top of the cache container!
Original
contents included a rubber frog, a brass disc and logbook +
pencil.
