Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the McComas Chapel Cemetery on Route 447 in Price Township. I've passed by this cemetery many times and never stopped. Today I decided to stop and explore the old cemetery. There are many older graves here, some dating back to the 1800's. Some of the stones are too old to read the date, and other stones have either fallen down or been knocked down. The cemetery has many graves with family names relating to the area, including the Price family. In 1880, Price Township was formed and named after it's first settler, John Price. A stone has been erected in the cemetery to honor John Price Sr, who was a Revolutionary War veteran. The cemetery was originally called the Priceburg Cemetery, but was renamed the McComas Chapel Cemetery after Reverend M.D. McComas, who was pastor of the McComas Chapel in the 1860's. The cache container is a medium sized camoed lock & lock container. It is hidden in an area away from any graves. Also, the cache is NOT in the rock wall. Please be respectful when searching for this cache. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE AT NIGHT. This is a daylight hours cache only.
