Geocache Description:

I've been wanting to place a cache here for a while, but couldn't come up with inspiration for a name or theme or any of that fun stuff. Today, however, when I visited the site, birds were everywhere! Chimney swifts, red-winged blackbirds, and scissor-tailed flycatchers were singing and flying everywhere. The loudest, however, were the killdeer. They don't make a traditional nest, but rely instead on camoflaged eggs laid on bare rocky ground. When invaders show up, the parents screech loudly, run along the ground, or even fake broken wings to lure potential predators away from the eggs. So be careful where you put your feet, enjoy the pond, and have fun!
