Yakima River Canyon, Mnt. Baldy Trail. The name comes from picking up containers while walking the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, a 24 hour walk/run relay.
Congrats to Goldencheckmate for FTF.
This trail will eventually take you to the top of Mnt. Baldy in the Yakima River Canyon. I hike this to the top every year. This cache will not be on top though, so you can relax a little, not a-lot, but a little. You will have a beautiful view from the cache location, so bring a camera and lots of water. Trail access is at approx MP 10 on hiway 821 and there is plenty of roadside parking. Follow the old jeep trail up the side of the hill and just stay on the path. This is close to the Big Pines Camp Ground area, there are picnic tables, restrooms, and a boat launch for not motorized vessels.
