Geocache Description:

This game was delayed on account of rain. At least my hike up the mountain on this glorious Solstice afternoon was. I headed up the mountain and ran into rains as I was scampering over the monolithic rocks a bit farther up the mountain. The main trail was snowed over still and so my route took me high into the tall rocks. Then the rains came and the mud and slick rock convinced me my hike was over for the day.

Turning around and heading down the mountain I stopped at this place to take a picture and set my pack down when my GPSr went tumbling down the mountain. I had forgotten it was clipped to my pack's strap as I had my raincoat on. I watched the GPSr tumble down the mountain and come to rest three times as I rushed over wet tundra and slick rock down the hill after it. Finally coming to a stop face up a hundred feet below me. It glinted in the hint of sun that poked through the rain cloud as if to say "OK, I'm done now, let's call this game". Back up the hill I went to where I had dropped my pack and left this cache as a reminder of the day.

Every ball-field needs a dugout. Welcome to the Dugout! Come on out and play. Mind your step when the rains come and find shelter in the winds, but make sure and bring your game face and your camera, this is a great place to be. Game On!
