Susan B. Anthony, the greatest American Women's Rights Leader, was born on February 15, 1820 in the town of Adams, MA. Her birthplace was built in 1818 and stands as an important symbol of the Women's Suffrage Movement in the US.
Why is it that many people make sure to visit and tour the historical homes while they travel, yet often forget to learn more about their local history? Perhaps it's human nature to plan to learn local history "someday" because it will always be there and we have other things that need doing now.
