MOSS AND TEARS

This is a lovely scenic walk in and out of the forest, with sweeping city views along the way. The final location, Cecilia Waterfall, is cool and beautiful, best enjoyed and one of those balmy warm winters days. At a leisurely pace the walk up should take about 45 minutes, its always much quicker going down. (At a very fast pace, the walk up and down takes about 45 to 50 minutes, or even a bit less.)
There are quite a few ways to approach the cache. If you want to find your own way, simply head directly up the hill.
For the most scenic way park at the Cecelia Forest parking lot (Given as a waypoint for navigation purposes).
Leave the parking lot by walking straight up the hill, under the pines. Don't go past the boom, just walk out of the side of the parking lot, straight up the hill. At first there is no obvious path, but as you walk up a path appears.
Follow the path about 100m then turn right at a needle covered path at S 33°59.884 E 018° 25.450 (given as additional waypoint).
Follow the path for a short while to a bridge over a stream at S 33°59.842 E 018° 25.439 (given as additional waypoint).
Cross the bridge and follow the stream up the hill. It takes you on a super little forest walk next to the stream. From there on simply head straight up the mountain.
Cross one road, then over a 3 way road intersection. Cross over and find the path leading straight up the hill.
Pass the old concrete tanks at S 33°59.797 E 018° 25.084 (given as additional waypoint) and head up the hill again on the path.
Quite near the top you should follow quite a a long traverse away from the cache. The traverse starts by crossing a small steam at the base of a small waterfall at S 33°59.799 E 018° 25.996 (given as additional waypoint). The path does eventually turn back towards the cache.
When it reaches the top ignore the path turning up to the slope to the left (it leads to the bridal path or concrete jeep track that leads up to the dams) and continue on to the cache, descending a bit as you go.
GPS reception at the cache site is awful! I did waypoint averaging for about 5 minutes and could only attain a confidence level of 30%!!
I then did a 4 waypoint average to generate the coords for the cache. The waypoints were generated by walking away from the cache, approaching and marking the cache location. Try this method when searching for the cache.
The coordinates generated were:
S 33°59.732 E 018° 25.002
S 33°59.735 E 018° 24.996
S 33°59.734 E 018° 24.998
S 33°59.737 E 018° 24.994
These have been averaged to generate the listed coords.
To add to your woes, the cache is quite well hidden and difficult to find.
As traditional with me, hints will be given after FTF. With poor reception and iffy coordinates, it is a bit unfair, hence the double meaning of "Tears" in the cache name.
Difficulty rating incorporates the poor GPS reception and is based on finding the cache without a hint.
Enjoy the spot!
