Goerke's Corner Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a camo-wrapped 35mm film canister. This is pretty much a park & grab...if you can find it!

BYOP - not really any room for stuff either.

Goerke's Corner was named after Frederick Goerke, a local innkeeper and wagon maker who lived in this area in the late 1800's. The US Post Office established a post office under the name "Goerke's Corner" near the location of this cache; the postmaster was none other than Frederick Goerke himself! This area remained an unicorporated town until being annexed by the Town of Brookfield and the City of Waukesha.
