Geocache Description:

35mm film canister (magnetic)

This should be an easy park and grab, but depending on the time (and day) you visit, muggles could be present. There is plenty of parking within just a few feet of the cache. You can find the cache from the comfort of the sidewalk which makes it perfect for everyone who wants to log another find.

We decided to place this cache here because quite a few local cachers frequently attend services here, and we wanted everyone to have the opportunity to visit our small corner of the world on the corner of Washington and Madison.

Brief history...The United Methodist Church has been serving the Livingston Community since 1834 when the congregation began worshipping in the Sumter County Court House as the Methodist Episcopal Church.

In 1885 the official board authorized the purchase of a lot on which to build a new church at its present location, and they have been worshipping there since September 28, 1890.

Happy hunting and please come back to visit with us!
