This cache has been place on a circular footpath aroung Little Craig Y Borion woods. This cache is one of 4 on this walk. Stout footware is advised. If you park in the overflow car park, at Colby Gardens, the footpath is sign posted from here. The cache has been placed with the kind permission of the National Trust and Colby Garden.
Congratulations to TAXFitIt on FTF. This cache is a small snap lock canister, with room for small swaps. This cache has been named after the local wildlife that can be seen on your walk around the woods.
A Jay is about 34 cm, smaller than a wood pigeon, it has a pink fawn coloured body. There is a bright blue patch on their wings. For most of the year this is a secretive woodland bird that is more likely to be heard rather than seen. They like to eat acorns as well as insects, beetles fruit and eggs of other small manmals. They also like to hide their food in crevices of trees and recover it later.
As you enjoy your walk I hope you get chance to admire our wildlife.
If you have time Colby Gardens is well worth a visit, there is an admission charge, National trust members will get in free.
