Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden at Frenchman's Cave near St. Croix, Hants County.

THE COORDINATES LEAD TO THE CAVE ENTRANCE ONLY

Take highway 1 east from St. Croix, turn left onto Rocks road just past the exit 4 ramp on highway 101, take the first right onto a small dirt road, follow this road to its conclusion at the edge of Weir Brook and leave your vehicle here. Cross the shallow brook and scramble up the steep slope to the top of the cliff. Follow the trail west along the edge of the cliff until you see a tree marked with orange flagging tape (your GPS should be pointing almost directly to the right), bushwhack from here until you reach the top of the massive sinkhole which holds the caves and find the path to the bottom from the northwest side. Once at the bottom, the entrance to Fidel's Cave is to the left and the larger Frenchman's Cave is straight ahead. Fidel's Cave consists of a 10 foot belly crawl at the beginning and then opens up into a larger chamber, the cave is a total of 100 feet in length. Frenchman's Cave is more easily accessible and extends 300 feet in total. You don't need to go very far into the cave in order to find the cache, but I highly recommend exploring them further if you have the time and equipment. Good luck!
