This is one of a series of caches that is located on St. Helena Island. Permission has been granted for this cache by Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association (see related link). To reach the cache, it is recommended that you walk along the beach to avoid poison ivy and use caution if wading in the water.
In the 1990's, when the water level was higher, this used to be a fun place to wade and swim. Now the vegetation has grown to the extent that it is difficult to even walk on the beach.
This series of caches is not available during the winter months. For safety, it is recommended that you wear shoes that cover your whole foot and can get wet.
