Geocache Description:

Fun Multi - One of these is not like the other...

A long long time ago, in an office far far away......... Oh wait a minute wrong story.

Anyhow, this story started when the Carnegie Institute hired Joan Ganz Cooney
to study how the media could be used to help young children learn and prepare for school. Cooney proposed using television and a combination of animation, puppets, and live actors to help stimulate the minds of young children while they were learning basic skills.

So in 1966, on a special inner city street, the inhabitants, both human and puppet, began teaching preschool subjects along with comedy, cartoons, games and songs.

I am sure most of us have had the familiar faces like Mr. Hooper, Aloysius Snuffleupagus, Gordon, Oscar the Grouch, Maria, Cookie Monster, Count Von Count,("AH AH AH AH AH!", accompanied by thunder and lightning flashes of course), spending time in the living room bringing countless hours of reason and rhyme.

And who can forget the main character; Big Bird. As a baby he was raised by his Granny Bird and his aunt, Nani Bird. As he became more self-reliant, Big Bird moved out on his own. Every day brought him new and exciting adventures as he greeted those in his neighborhood with a wide-eyed view of the world.

So come a take a stroll down Big Bird’s street for a clue to where you'll find his nest.

Be sure to wave at the friendly neighbors for they may be watching you. If you are lucky, perhaps you’ll see Harvey Kneeslapper or the Martian Yip and Yips. But watch out for Oscar the Grouch and Detective Colambo, rumors have it that they have been seen hanging around with muggles.

When getting to the first phase, watch the kids and be Extra careful of traffic as you step up into the spot to find the clue for the next set of coordinates. Oscar's best and only friend Wormie used to live here; his home held the coordinates to Big Birds's nest... However, he decided to spend some time with Big Bird, but his home is still in the original location. No container exists here, but you'll find the necessary clues to Big Bird's home...

Once you get to the final phase, again watch for traffic. Once you find the container, use EXTRA stealth while removing the bottom half. Leave the top half in place as it is tied to an object.
