A simple puzzle cache to celebrate special friendships. The cache is not at the listed coordinates, but clues embedded within the text below will take you to GZ.
This cache was placed to celebrate a special friend's special birthday. It was strategically placed a number of months after the birthday and published even later, so that her age will forever remain a secret! As we go through life, we meet many people and make many friends. But there are few who remain with us over many years. This cache celebrates a friendship that has spanned over 30 years (all of my adult life) and survived boyfriends, husbands, weddings, raising children, a variety of jobs, drought, significant illness, marital beakdowns and much much more. Oh and did I mention that over 25 of these years we lived in differnet states almost 1000kms apart - the tears and laughter our phones and keyboards have known! Ths woman is never afraid to be involved - in family, in friendships and in the community. Although an active member (leader, cooker, worker, organiser and dishwasher) for many groups - including but not limited to pre-school, school, Hay Show Society, and many sporting groups, it is Netball which is her true community passion. The local club and association has benefited from her leadership (president, secretary, delegate and committee person). She has umpired, taught others and cordatianted umpire rosters. She has coached and encouraged, both at junor and senior levels. Competition, mixed netball and social netball have flourished as a result. She and her husband have built a property to be proud of and raised a family many would envy (including me!). Good friends like this are hard to find. Where would we sit without them?
