An easy “beginner” cache placed for the Frying Pan Farm Park Geocaching Camp, Aug. 30 – Sept. 3, 2010; the cache will remain in place after the camp. The park is open from dawn till dusk; please seek only during park hours. This cache is along a gravel road leading from near the main entrance area of the park to a historic church and cemetery. Park in the lot at the park entrance for the model farm and activity center. Walk through the opening into the fenced area leading to the Country Store and 4-H Building; the gravel road begins on the left side a little way past the 4-H Building. The cache will be a short walk along the gravel road leading northwest toward the old meeting house and cemetery. Be careful of poison ivy along the edges of the road! The cache is about 25 feet from the road with easy access to it. Bring your own pen; container is small with no room for trade items. Please be sure to replace it with some camouflage on top to make it less visible. This cache is placed at the request of and with permission from the Fairfax County Park Authority and conforms to all park regulations for the placement of geocaches.
