Cache is hidden at a viewpoint along the trail at Biggs & Jack Point Park. The trail is well defined but does have some stairs. The cache is a camo'd micro container with only a log book so bring your own writing stick. Please rehide carefully and watch out for muggles.
Another in a series of caches intended to show you good places for seeing birds and wildlife while you hunt for a cache. This is one of my favorite spots!
I didn't know Marion and Bill Ricker but a note on their memorial bench got me thinking that they deserved a cache in their honour. I share their interest of watching seabirds and this location must have been special to them. After you find the cache, have a seat and enjoy the views as well!
In addition to the many seabirds, I have also seen the following birds at this location: chickadees, nuthatches, swallows, sparrows, flycatchers, blackbirds, bald eagles, turkey vultures, merlin, hawks and many more. On the day the cache was planted it was low tide and at least 60 great blue herons were together fishing on the estuary. I have also seen an entire family of sea otters playing at this exact location. I would enjoy reading notes about anything interesting you see when you visit.
Happy caching!
CONGRATS TO ceebeecee ON ANOTHER FTF!!!!
