A little known park with some neat geologic features!
I wanted to place this cache on Father's Day...but my dad and I went to Chinatown and bought some lobsters instead. I hope you take the time to cache with your kids if you have 'em.
My dad and I like to cache together when we can. But even better, I'm gonna be a dad in about a month and I can't wait to take my son geocaching. He'll like this park because they play baseball there. So in your logs here I'm soliciting for parental advice. Please help!
My dad likes to travel and inspired that love in me as well. I've put coins in this cache that I've collected from the following countries:
Russia
Canada
Iceland
Hungary
Euro
Italy
Argentina
Thailand
France
Czech Republic
Please trade your foreign coins in this cache and tell me about your travels...ie, where should I take my son?
I'm wondering also if anyone knows the history of this park. Was it always meant to be a park, or was there some other failed development there...was it going to be part of the freeway? Enjoy this cache. This park is open from 5am to 8:30pm. This is a large cache so bring your travel bugs.
Congrats to Hapa's Squad on the First to Find!
*update: my son was born and all is well.
**update: as of Sept 25 the location has changed to a cleaner less spooky location within the same park.
