This cache has been archived.

West Texas Reviewer: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so the cache is being archived to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the West Texas Reviewer.

Geocache Description:

Since another cacher placed a Speeding Trap cache out on the West side of town, I thought I would add to that list. His cache (RFRISBIE) is called HOUSTON PD - TRAFFIC SPEED TRAP #1 - GC29W4E where he was caught speeding.

Although it is not a speeding trap at the above coords, it is still a trap that the Pasadena PD sets up to check for Seat Belt Usage compliance. Three or four officers likes to use this corner because they can stand in the shade and watch for drivers/passengers not wearing Seat Belts and expired vehicle inspection stickers. They officers likes to set up here at least once a week. They even will stop a vehicle with dark windows and have you lower the windows so they look inside.

When they find a driver not wearing the seat belt, they will walk out into the street and ask the driver to pull around the corner into the parking lot.where they will issue a ticket Total amount of walking from start to finish is about fifty steps. Not bad for working in hot weather - standing in the shade, have the traffic drive by, point to someone to pull around the corner without sweating.

So far, I have not been stopped or caught as I know about this location.

The cache itself is a magnetic container and NOT IN ANY BUSHES. Only room for a log sheet. BYOP

So you better FASTEN YOU SEAT BELT
