Update 09/11/10: Here are the coords for the poker run. Please
only take one card from each cache and do not open the envelope or
the card will not count! Please be careful and have fun! Poker Run
The geo games are ready to go! I have a few for the actual event
and one that requires visiting 5 NEW caches that are place nearby
the event. There are five caches that are set up as a poker run.
You must visit each cache and get a card from each one. Please only
take one and do not open the envelope or it will not count! Please
bring the cards numbered 1 thru 5 to the registration table.
Remember it is just a game! I will post the cache pages in PDF the
night before. They will go active after the event and you will get
a smiley for each one. .
The coffee stop is near the first cache so skip wawa and grab a
cup of coffee and a cache! If you have any questions just email me.
I have ordered up sunshine and 75 degree weather so everything
should be good! Earl missed us so the river is low but you can
still paddle boat. Lots of food and fun for everyone and games and
prizes for the cachers! Looks like a good turnout so see you on the
12th!
Bpp_picnic Several games have been set up so bring your GPS.
Door prizes and raffels will also be going on. Many cachers have
asked for a way to help. Since the numbers for this event have
mushroomed and keep climbing there will be a donation box to help
offset some of the costs. Please give what you can. There will be a
table for trackables so please bring them. I will have someone
checking them in and out so that I do not have to explain to
someone that there kids favorite toy is not still at my event and
is probably gone for ever! Hope to see everyone in September! I
have secured the use of the facility at the listed coordinates. To
make it easy and relaxing for everyone, ALL arrangements have been
made for the GRUB (You will not be disappointed) and Activities. So
all you need is your GPSr, yourself and your family of course!!
There will be some Geogames and Door Prizes as well as many of the
activities the park has to offer. This is not a public park so
there will not be any muggle factor involved. However if someone
needs to use this date as a raindate then there will be muggles
around but the event will go on.
You may also bring adult beverages (beer/wine) if you would like
as they are permitted in the park. However, pets are not permitted
so the geopup will have to stay home (sorry). So please bring your
trackables and/or collections to share with everyone. I will have a
trackable table for check in/out this time so that they are not
missplaced so easily! There is plenty of space to relax and share
stories and adventures. This will be rain or shine but it never
rains here, except last year and all of June this year!! Whether
you like Paddle Boating on the Brandywine, Rock Wall Climbing, Mini
Golf, Horseshoes, and Billiards or just relaxing with good company
it should be a very nice time. The picnic will start at Noon and go
to 5ish. There will be some new caches posted for the event. I will
post more details as the date gets closer. Also, if you have not
been in the area recently there are many new caches nearby (you can
walk to some) so please make a full day of it. Please be sure to
post how many guests are coming in your “Will Attend”
post so that we prepare the correct amount of food!! There will be
something for everyone! PS: And the answer to your question. Yes
this is all FREE!! There is no charge except that you show up and
