Dewey Know Steinbeck? Mystery Cache
Trail Reader: In town unexpectedly today, I decided to check out the recent DNFs on this one. At GZ there was evidence of some extreme maintenance, eliminating both the cache and its hide location. This one's had a good run. Thanks to all who visited! Archived.

THE CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES.
I thought that it would be fun to combine the indoors of the library with the outdoors of geocaching. Welcome to my world!
The Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC) was invented by Melvil Dewey. The DDC categorizes nonfiction books by subject matter into ten main divisions which are then further divided into ten subdivisions. The longer the Dewey number, the more specific the subject matter of the book. The DDC is the most widely used classification system in the world--found in libraries in over 100 countries and translated into over 30 languages.
In order to solve this puzzle, you do not need to be an expert on John Steinbeck. By simply using the following Steinbeck titles, determine the correct coordinates for the cache by classifying each subject in the DDC.
The Moon Is Down
To locate nonfiction books about World War II, go to 9A0.53

To locate nonfiction books about pirates, go to 91B.45
