Geocache Description:

What begins as a trickle and rages like storm; turns on a light bulb; grows cotton and corn? What is the one thing that makes life possible, bearable, and even enjoyable in the arid Southwest United States? Why, it’s the Colorado River, of course! One of the great scenic places in Arizona.

Located in a city park, this small camouflaged cache celebrates the Colorado River, which travels a 1,400 mile channel from the craggy peaks of the Colorado Rocky Mountains to the Sea of Cortez. Truly a jewel in the desert, 25 million people and 3.5 million acres of farmland in seven states rely on the Colorado River for water, along with lots of plants, fish, and wildlife. Millions more enjoy water sports and recreation. Here in Bullhead City, Arizona the Colorado River is our sole source of drinking water, and the River attracts nearly 3 million visitors a year.

Park open daily from sunrise to 11PM.
