Jambalaya Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheView: We have replaced this cache twice. So we've put out nice bison tubes THREE TIMES. We give up. I don't know who is stealing our caches, but Mr. View is determined to find out. We've archived at least 7-8 caches in recent months, all for the same reason. The fun has been taken out of being a cache owner. Any others that go missing will be automatically archived.

Geocache Description:

We decided to continue placing caches with a Louisiana food theme, having started with our Red Beans & Rice cache.

Jambalaya is a Creole dish with Spanish and French influences. It is a rice dish similar to Spanish paella. Jambalaya is differentiated from other traditional ethnic Louisiana dishes, such as gumbo and etouffee, by the way the rice is included. For gumbo and etouffee, rice is usually a bed on which the dish is served. Jambalaya is made by incorporating raw rice into a rich stock of meat and vegetables, and the flavor is absorbed as the rice cooks.
