The Garden State Parkway – the daily challenge to my serenity. The old GSP! Where Miss Manners is roadkill and even common civility is tossed out the window on the entrance ramp. Where anyone who isn’t you is just an obstacle to be overcome. Where every guardrail is tarnished with rust – even the brand new ones! Where every mile is a fight for survival and even the AAA can’t tow your car to safety!
And you know what the best part is? It's not the motorcycle gangs, the half-blind blue-hairs, the diesel stink bus flotillas, the police escorted death-racers, the texters, the weavers, the ragers... No, the best part is that we actually pay for the privilege to join them!
For many of us, the GSP is an unavoidable part of our daily commute so since we can’t get mad and we can’t get even all we can do is rise above the chaos. Rise above the insanity! Rise above the Invincible Armadas and the High Beemers! Take wing and rise above the flippant birds! Climb, mighty Parkway Monkey! Your salvation awaits!
This is a two stage multi that may help you rise above the lunacy that is the Garden State and its infamous Parkway. Where better to hide the cache than Cheesequake State Park that was rudely bifurcated by the GSP back in the 1950s. This cache also serves as a tribute to Team Jo.B who inspired the first and former second stages with some of their earlier hides. The first stage is micro sized. The final however is a 30cal ammo can. NOTE: The terrain rating is not due to thorns, hills or water crossings! There is no EZ-Pass express option. Know your limitations. Be safe. Have fun!
