Main access to site is from Balloch Castle Country Park and follow the path to Whinny Hill and the circular footpath around the site. Paths can be muddy in wet weather but are generally fairly good and are mixture of stone surfaced, grass or beaten earth. Walking boots or water proof trainers recommended at any time of year.
Cache includes key rings from Woodland Trust Nature Detectives (see (visit link) )and a log book.
