Geocache Description:

2 stages: both are small containers

CACHE UPDATE: NOVEMBER 29, 2025

I have completely re-written the description. The area has changed a lot over the years, and I just replaced both stages.

I couldn't find stage 1, but I did find the final which was in very bad condition.

The terrain is much more difficult than it was originally. I don't want to change the rating for cachers who want the original ratings for challenges or other reasons. If I was putting out a new cache here today I would probably rate it as a 3 or 3.5 terrain.

The description below is for the new containers. None of the coordinates have changed. Please read through the new description. There may be some helpful information there.

Parking is available at: N 42 07.489 W 080 00.169 Where there is room for a couple of cars. Be sure you are completely off the road.

NOTE: THE PAPER IN THE STAGE 1 CONTAINER IS NOT THE LOG

YOU MUST SIGN THE LOG AT THE FINAL LOCATION TO GET CREDIT FOR THE CACHE

STAGE 1

The coordinates listed above are for Stage 1. It is a preform tie-wrapped to a tree branch which is about 6' up. It contains the coordinates to the final stage. There may be a small amount of bushwacking needed to get to stage 1. DO NOT REMOVE THE CONTAINER FROM THE HIDING SPOT. SIMPLY REMOVE THE LID.

When I hid this new container my GPS was bouncing around, so the coordinates may be off by a little. A couple of days later I returned to double check that I had left the correct coordinates there. When I got to the hide my GPS read about 35'. After I was finished checking on the coordinates my GPS was reading under 15'.

STAGE 2 IS THE FINAL STAGE

FINAL STAGE

Stage 2 is a camo'd cylinder.  I would rate as a size small and not the size regular shown above.

To get from stage 1 to stage 2 you can either walk through the woods (which seems to be the easier way to go in the winter), or go back out to the main trail and head toward the final (which seems to be the easier path in the summer). The container is fairly well hidden. Please be sure it is hidden when you leave.
