The idea of the Pony Express relay caches is to provide a way for travel bugs and geocoins to move quickly on their way. Just as the Pony Express used to move mail in the 1800's via horse-changing relay stations, these travel bug relay stations allow us to move TBs and coins long distances, one or two relay stations at a time.
For instance, not everyone can move a TB from Moncton to Fredericton, but if a number of geocachers move a TB towards its goal, one relay station at a time, then the TBs can quickly achieve their goals.
The relay stations will be placed near the main highways, train stations, airports, etc
