I've had the idea for this cache for quite a while but have been waiting for the new Goit bridle way to be finished before setting it. Ahhh, now the dust has settled..... An easy walk, slightly down hill from Brinscall towards Anglezarke cache at approx. Alt 512ft

The bridle way stretches from Brinscall, past White Coppice cricket ground, and ends at Anglezarke. It follows the route of the Goit, which is a man made stream (or technically a canal) that links the Roddlesworth and Anglezarke reservoirs. It has replaced the old footpath, which did get extremely wet and boggy, but which can still be seen in some places where the new parts company with the old. It is a crush and run type of surface that is accessible to push chairs, wheel chairs, cyclists (but not suitable for skinny road wheels, chubby mtb type only!) and horses. Please be aware that it does follow a water course which is not overly deep but it has very steep high banks in places. It can be a lovely walk (especially if you can avoid the herds of muggles) with plenty of flora and fauna to observe. There are small trout in the Goit, squirrels, deer, woodpeckers, cuckoos, bluebells, I think you get the idea. It can be easy to get carried away on this path and end up going further than you really intended, be warned! I hope you enjoy this walk as much as we do.
