Geocache Description:

Melton Country Park a hidden gem of manmade natural beauty in an area of open space some 137 acres in size, just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Melton Mowbray.

The park is centred around a dam constructed in 1989 – 1990 to alleviate flooding problems in the town.

The cache is placed near the plantation of chestnut trees that marked the European Union of 12 nations planted in 1993 best car parking is near the Visitors Centre off Wymondham Way.

The cache is a small ADDIS screw top white & clear canister, containing log, pen, various items to trade & one travel coin: Best of British 2007 Geocoin (TB1XGPF), Enjoy!
