A cache located next to a rest stop with views of the past as well as the future.
Hong Kong is ever changing. The change is very evident in the new MTR lines as well as the new buildings and districts that are evolving.
The cache is located on a fairly old trail, the Tseung Kwan O trail and what makes it beautiful is that on one side of the trail you can view the old Hong Kong with its old villages as well as the mountain side graves while the other side shows the new Hong Kong with the new skyscrapers housing thousands of families. The GZ is well situated to show both old and new Hong Kong
Although there are many ways to reach this trail and the cache, I would suggest doing this trail the way it was intended. Start in Hang Hau old village and finish at Clearwater Bay Road. The paths that lead to the GZ are clearly marked in OpenStreetMap. Please click on the OpenStreetMap link to view the various paths.
There are a fair number of steps along the way, there are also many areas for rest as well as many opportunities for wonderful sights and photograpy.
