Located along a beautiful stretch of rocky beach near Geary's Beach Town Park. A short hike along a wildlife trail.
Take some time to enjoy the beauty of the smoothed granite pebble beach and abundant wildlife, birds, butterflies, small crabs in the shallows and maybe an occasional deer.
Hike along the beach with proper footwear, or follow the dirt trail then the wildlife trail to the left. Some walking on large rocks may be necessary.
The park is maybe two miles outside of Vinalhaven town proper, turn past the statue of liberty coke bottle tree sculpture, then follow the dirt road to the beach.
FTF may take a small compass at the bottom of the canister.
