Today, July 4, 2010, I headed out to start (and hopefully complete) the Box Box series created by kengi. The theme of the series is the Big 10 Conference. Each cache is named for one of the Big 10 schools and the final is appropriately called “The Big 10 Conference”.
When the series was set up, there were eleven active Big 10 teams and, as a result, there was one extra cache in the series of 13, which was named University of Chicago (They were a member of the Big 10 a long time ago).
In June 2010, the University of Nebraska announced they would be leaving the Big 12 Conference and joining the Big 10. Well, I could not let the Big Ten’s newest member not be represented in these woods so I brought a cache with me and placed it while doing the series.
An interesting note: With the addition of Nebraska, the Big “TEN” now has 12 teams and with the loss of Nebraska and Colorado (who agreed to join the Pac 10), the Big “TWELVE” now has 10 teams.
You are looking for a camouflaged pill bottle. Like the Box Box hides, this one is not too far off the trail.
