Geocache Description:


Trees of Alabama Series: Black Cherry - ( Prunus serotina Rosaceae). Deciduous tree found commonly in all regions of Alabama. The lustrous red-brown wood is commercially valuable and used for furniture, cabinets and veneer. The fruit is a valuable wildlife food. When this cache was placed, this tree had red ripe cherries that tasted good. There is a picture of a Black Cherry Tree and it's leaves on the cache log. The container is a small camoed Lock-N-Lock. Please return cache as found.
