Geocache Description:


Trees of Alabama Series: Willow Oak - (Quercus phellos Fagaceae). Deciduous hardwood found commonly in all regions of Alabama, especially on moist to wet sites. The wood is used as red oak lumber. Acorns produced by the Willow Oak are eaten by game birds, deer, and many small mammals. There is a picture of a Willow Oak and it's leaves on the cache log. The container is a small camoed Lock-N-Lock. Please return cache as found.
