This two-stage multi cache is located at the Nanaimo North Town Centre. The first stage is a nano and the second stage is a small container. There is no need to go down hill to the marsh unless you want to wrestle with lots of thorns!
Another in a series of caches intended to show you good places for seeing birds while you hunt for a cache. Or, in this case, if you need an excuse to take a break from shopping!
The mall seems like a strange place to birdwatch but the green space and marsh below the mall are home to many birds. Bring your binoculars to have a closer look at what is happening in the marsh. At this location I have seen many birds such as ducks, mergansers, geese, herons, turkey vultures, eagles, sparrows, finches, chickadees, swallows, blackbirds, quails, flickers and even hummingbirds.
Please keep stage one attached to its hiding spot, unscrew it to find the coordinates to stage two inside.
