Geocache Description:

The cache is a small bison container containing a logbook and a pencil. This is the third cache we've placed at Garey - I think we're going to rename this ford the 'Garey Triangle' as both former cache's disappeared in mysterious circumstances...

A ford is a place in a watercourse (most commonly a stream or river) that is shallow enough to be crossed in a vehicle.

This cache is part of a series of caches, taking you to some of the fords that can be driven through on the Island.

Parking is available on the Lezayre side of the ford though please note that the parking space is limited to only one vehicle.

Garey is a Scandinavian word meaning ‘garden, enclosure’ and it’s not hard to see why it was given this name. A very picturesque area with views across Glen Duff, northern hills and Slieau Whallian.

As these caches were set in the summer when water levels were low please take care in the winter months when levels will be higher. Also, please take care at each of the cache sites as a number of them are on single track roads.
