Geocache Description:

Many thanks to Dair Mor who placed this cache, and many others throughout Perthshire in 2010.

The confluence of the Garry and the Tummel echoes to the sounds of Splash! and Nae Limits these days, adventure sports companies who bring raft loads of eager adrenalists to play at the Linn.

There is soon to be bungee jumping from the Garry Bridge as well. Changed days from when Robert the Bruce and his battered army stopped nearby after the Rout of Methven in 1306. (Bobby, Bobby – yon was never a Battle; you got caught with your pants down, and no guards posted at night. A cache commemorates where the tattered army rested: GCV2GV.) And from when Queen Victoria visited. She was here to see the Falls of Tummel. Quite a spectacle by all accounts, but tamed and downgraded to a Linn following the Hydro Electric scheming that saw the creation of Lochs Tummel and Faskally.
