This area is in a township flood plain, and is not accessible in times of high water. As you walk the path toward the cache, you can see debris in the tree branches more than 6 feet high from the last major flood! Even in this environment, certain trees like the American Sycamore thrive, and can get 100 - 130 ft high and up to 7 feet in diameter. Enjoy the hike in and don't worry about leaving footprints, as the next major flood will wipe away all traces.
There could be some hunting going on in the area, so wear orange. Parking is available in Hoy Park
