Geocache Description:


This cache is multi-cache of two stages, and both of the caches are hidden in "Zao-no-mori".

== Zao-no-mori (The forest of Zao) ==
This neighborhood is located at northeast, an unlucky-direction, of Nagoya Castle. It was the holy place that protected the castle from the unlucky-direction in old days. Therefore it still has many Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples.
Among them, the forest of Katayama Shrine area was called "Zao-no-mori" and was famous as one of the forests which represented Nagoya.

"Zao-no-mori" is in a city area. However there are many large trees which make us feel a long history, so, this place has a unique atmosphere that is away from the area around.
At the north entrance of Amagasaka Park with the first cache, there is the information board which described the origin and legends of this area.
Katayama Shrine near the park is a very old Shinto shrine originally built in 709.

The first cache is Micro Cache, and it has the coordinates of the final cache.
The final cache is Small Cache, and it is located within walking distance from the first cache.

このキャッシュは、2ステージのマルチキャッシュで、2つのキャッシュは、共に"蔵王の杜"の中に隠されています。

== 蔵王の杜 ==
この付近は、名古屋城から見て北東の位置にあたり、古くは名古屋城の鬼門を守る"鎮守"とされていました。今もなお、数多くの神社仏閣が点在しています。
その中で、片山神社は、その昔"片山蔵王権現"と言い、境内一帯の森は、"蔵王の杜"と呼ばれ、名古屋を代表する杜の一つとして有名でした。

この蔵王の杜一帯には、長い歴史を感じさせる大きな樹木がたくさんあり、周囲の市街地とは別世界のようです。
最初のキャッシュのある、尼ケ坂公園の北側の入り口には、この辺りの伝説や由来について説明した、案内板があります。
尼ケ坂公園の近くにある片山神社は、709年に創建されたと伝わるとても古い神社です。

最初のキャッシュは、マイクロサイズで、ファイナルキャッシュの座標はこのキャッシュから得られます。
ファイナルキャッシュはスモールサイズで、最初のキャッシュから歩いて行ける距離にあります。
