Geocache Description:

Best view in the East Bay. Dogs allowed. Unlike most EBRPD parks, there is no parking fee or dog fee.

Update: The second camera has been retrieved and developed! Have a look at the pictures!

The first set of pictures are still available for viewing.

I noticed that there were no caches in this beautiful East Bay park, so I've decided to remedy this with my first cache.

The cache is for explorers! In addition to the Geocaching letter and log book, the cache contains:

  • Disposable camera
  • Compass
  • Star map
  • Light stick
  • Geocaching pens
  • Palmable Geocaching card for entry into this database
  • Pair of AA batteries
  • Stickers for the kids

There's no technical climbing work required, but you are on the side of a fairly steep mountain that has slippery grass, so use your head. I walked to the cache site without any problem, but I didn't have to search for it. Be careful, and have fun!

If you find that you're nearly out of water for your trip back, there is potable water available not far from the cache at N37 30.707 W121 52.631.
