In the old mining town of Corbin, Montana stands a historical landmark known as the Corbin train trestle.
The trestle stands nearly 1000 feet tall and nearly 700 feet long. Overall what a majestic view of the Elkhorn Mountains and its surroundings.
Built in 1886 for the Montana Central Railroad, it was a major link between Butte and Helena, Montana up until 1981. The trestle was used by the Great Northern Railway until flooding destroyed quite a bit of the trackline to Helena. After that the trackline was never rebuilt due to government thinking that there were cheaper means of transportation.
When we were a family growing up in this small community it was exciting for us to see the train. We would hurry to ride our bicycles to the train tracks just to wave to the Engineer or the Cabooseman/Brakeman, and yes sometimes to retreive a penny we had left on the train tracks, after the train had gone by. Today as we see the trestle, we can still hear the sounding of the train's whistle. What a sight it was!

Also there is a Lewis and Clark Geo-Coin, please make sure it gets distributed and logged.
