Ce parcours vous propose de découvrir quelques aspects du patrimoine de la forêt de Rambouillet : grandes allées et routes forestières, carrefours et étangs.
EN : The forest stream : The forest of Rambouillet is one of the finest stands of woodland in central France, with a rich and varied heritage. This treasure hunt trail will enable you to discover some of the beauties of the forest, including broad forest rides and paths, crossroads and lakes.
FR : Principe : Vous devez vous rendre sur l’ensemble des caches intermédiaires dans l’ordre indiqué. Vous pouvez rejoindre certaines caches à partir de leurs coordonnées GPS, mais parfois, les coordonnées ne sont pas indiquées et c’est une énigme à résoudre qui vous indique le lieu où vous devez aller. A chaque cache, vous trouverez ou déduirez un chiffre compris dans les coordonnées de la cache finale. N’oubliez pas de noter soigneusement ce chiffre. Lorsque vous avez trouvé tous les chiffres nécessaires, il vous suffit de remplacer les lettres par les chiffres dans ces coordonnées, puis d’utiliser le GPS qui vous mènera jusqu’au trésor.
EN : Rules of the game : You have to go to all the caches on the way to the treasure in the given order. You can locate some of the caches by their GPS coordinates, but in some cases the coordinates are not given and you have to solve a clue that tells you where to go next. At each cache you will find or deduce a number that is part of the coordinates of the final cache. Remember to make a careful note of this number. When you have found all the numbers you need all you have to do is replace the letters by the numbers in these coordinates and then use your GPS to lead you to the treasure.

Vous arrivez à un petit carrefour forestier au croisement des routes de Batonceau et du Petit Gril. Regardez en direction du sud-est, vers la route du Petit Gril. De chaque côté de ce chemin, vous verrez un chêne avec deux nombres, l’un indiquant la division forestière, l’autre le numéro de la parcelle.

You arrive at a small forest crossroads where the Batonceau and Petit Gril paths intersect. Look towards the southeast, down the Petit Gril path. On either side of this path you will see an oak tree with two numbers, one showing the forest division, the other the plot number.
FR : STAGE2 : Rejoignez le plan d’eau aménagé en 1685 qui alimentait la rivière du Roi Soleil.
Pour retrouver le nom de ce plan d’eau, aidez-vous des noms de ceux qui ont contribué aux aménagements hydrauliques des Yvelines lors du règne de Louis XIV : C(O)(L)BE(R)(T), VA(U)B(A)N. ETANG DE (…)
Lorsque vous arriverez à proximité du plan d’eau, empruntez le chemin bordé de haies continues qui le longe par le sud. Au bord de l’étang, à proximité du chemin, recherchez la barre métallique verticale qui donne des indications sur les hauteurs d’eau.

When you reach the lake take the path lined with hedges that skirts the south side of the lake. At the water’s edge near the path search for the vertical metal bar that shows the water level.

Cette maison forestière a été construite en 1860. Sa particularité est de comporter à l’étage du corps central un salon pour l’Empereur Napoléon III. Sa fonction de rendez-vous de chasse témoigne de la vocation cynégétique de la forêt de Rambouillet.

This forest house was built in 1860. On the first floor of the main body of the building there is a sitting room decorated for Napoleon III, who used the house as a hunting lodge, a reminder of the hunting tradition of the forest of Rambouillet.

Vous êtes dans l’un des nombreux carrefours forestiers de la forêt de Rambouillet. Tout autour du carrefour, dans toutes les directions, on trouve les numéros des divisions et des différentes parcelles forestières sur le tronc de gros chênes.
Repérez l’unique chêne de la XXIe division sur lequel se trouve le panneau indiquant la route du Coin du Bois et ses deux directions opposées (plaine d’Auffargis et plaine de Greffiers).

You are now at one of the many crossroads in the forest of Rambouillet. All around the crossroads, in every direction, there are the division numbers and the forest plot numbers on the trunks of large oak trees.
Find the only oak tree in the XXIst division on which there is a sign showing the Coin du Bois path and its two opposite directions (Plaine d’Auffagis and Plaine de Greffiers).
FR : STAGE5 : La dernière cache intermédiaire se trouve en N 48°37.700’-E 001°52.310’.
A proximité de ce point, vous trouverez un panneau d’informations sur un parc animalier. Une partie de ce panneau représente le parcours de l’Odyssée verte, l’un des parcours proposés par ce parc animalier.

Near this point you will find a notice board giving information on an animal park. Part of this notice board shows the route called “Odyssée Verte”, one of the suggested trails suggested in this animal park.

Avant de rentrer les coordonnées du trésor dans l’appareil, assurez vous que vous avez les bons chiffres à votre disposition avec cette formule : A + B + C + D + E = 27.
Si cette formule est vérifiée, remplacez les lettres par les chiffres associés dans les coordonnées suivantes :
Nord : 48°.3(D+1).B9A’ et Est : 001°.50.C0E’ (en format dd°.mm.mmm’).
Il ne vous reste plus qu’à rentrer ces coordonnées dans le GPS et à vous laisser guider jusqu’au trésor…
