Geocache Description:

QMR - The Quest for Morgan's Rum

"Roaring Dan" Seavey was tall, muscular and imposing, a ship captain whose carousing and fighting were legendary - not to mention his commerce in illegal liquor or tainted women - even before he became the only man charged with Lake Michigan piracy.

Seavey retired sometime in the late 1920s, and settled in the town of Peshtigo, Wisconsin. He died in a Peshtigo nursing home on 14 February 1949 at the age of 84. He is buried next to his daughter in Forest Home Cemetery, Marinette, Wisconsin.

Many thanks to Mandarin Lake for placing the original cache.
