Birds of Alabama Series: Tree Swallow - (Tachycineta bicolor). In state breeder. Common in winter, spring, and fall in Gulf Coast region. In Inland Coastal Plain, common in fall, fairly common in spring, and rare in winter. In Tennessee Valley and Mountain regions, common in fall, fairly common in spring, and rare in winter and summer. Open areas, ponds, lakes; nests in cavities in dead, standing timber and boxes. Lowest Conservation Concern. Container is a camoed small rubbermaid. Please replace cache as found.
