This cache is located near the The Goseong Unification Observatory Church.
The Goseong Unification Observatory is the northernmost DMZ observation point in the Republic of Korea, located on the eastern coast.
There are several levels here with a military museum by the parking lot, a memorial part way up the hill, the observatory on top, and the church on the north side of the observatory. On the south side are statues of Buddha and of the Virgin Mary overlooking the eastern sea.
The cache is located behind the church, which does not appear to be in active use. Looking for the cache should cause no security concerns at this location.
The cache is a small micro container now familiar to geocachers in Korea.
NOTE: To travel to the observatory by private car, you MUST stop at the Tongil Security Park and buy a permit.
