El Valle de Pineta se extiende casi rectilíneamente en dirección sureste durante approximadamente 14 km. Se estrecha desde el Circo de Pineta a los pies del Monte Perdido, hasta la localidad de Bielsa. La cabecera del Valle de Pineta forma parte del Parque nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido. El cache se sitúa a los bordes del Parque nacional.
Se trata de un impresionante valle glaciar (una artesa en forma de "U") delimitado por altas y escarpadas crestas montañosas come se puede ver perfectamente desde la localización del cache. En el parking al fín del camino en Espierba había una tabla informativa que lo explicaba (actualización: 17.07.2019 - la tabla no queda).
Así, la cresta Sur o Sierra de las Cutas son una continuidad de picos entre 2500 y 3000 metros de altura que en menos de 2km lineales descienden unos 1200-1500 metros hasta el fondo del valle situado a unos 1200-1300 metros de altitud. En esta cresta Sur destacan las Tres Marias, un conjunto de tres picos gemelos y contiguos de 2700 metros de altitud.
La cresta Norte es algo menos escarpada y tiene algunos valles glaciares secundarios. El cierre del valle es también una pared muy escarpada, con una sucesión de cascadas majestuosas, en cuya parte superior se encuentra el Circo y Balcón de Pineta, el Lago helado del Marboré y la pared Norte del Monte Perdido. Ese del punto del cache desafortunadamente no se puede ver por causa de un arból. Pero si se sigue la pista pasando el borde del Parque nacional el circo al fín del valle se extiende frente al expectador.

The "Valle de Pineta" is a valley with a length of approx. 14km and a rectilinear extension from southeast to northwest. It ranges from the "Circo de Pineta" at the feet of the famous "Monte Perdido" down to Bielsa. The head of the "Valle de Pineta" is part of the "Parque nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido". The cache is placed at the border of the national park area.
The valley is an impressive valley of glacial origin forming an extense "U". It is limited by high and cliffy crests. This is perfectly visible from the cache location. At the parking place at the end of the small street passing trough Espierba there was an information desk explaining the area and its (geological) origin. (actualized 17.07.2019 - the desk has disappeared)
The crest in the south (the "Sierra de las Cutas") consists of a series of peaks of an altitude ranging between 2500m and 3000m. From the peaks to the bottom of the valley the hangings fall between 1200m and 1300m to the bottom of the valley in less than 2km. The most prominent peaks in the crest are "Las Tres Marias" consisting of a group of three peaks of similar altitude of approx. 2700m.
The crest in the north is not so cliffy and consists of a series of secondary glacial valleys. The close of the valley consists of a cliffy wall with a series of impressive water falls. At the top of this close is the "Circo de Pineta" and the "Balcón de Pineta" as well as the "Lago helado del Marboré" and the northern part of the "Monte Perdido". From the point of view of the cache this is unfortunately not visible due to a tree. But if you follow the hiking trail entering the area of the national park you will have esplendid views.
